Members, Committee and Constitution
Open to adults of all ages and running abilities the club currently has just over 100 members (46% female and 54% male composition). A committee meets regularly to support the development of the club membership experience. This committee is made up of volunteers who take on various responsibilities to ensure the club runs effectively and be of benefit to members.

About the club
Based in the west of the city, Beaumont Running Club is an affiliated club of England Athletics and a founding member club of the Leicestershire Road Running League. It also competes in local and regional cross-country leagues, such as the Derby Runner and North Midlands Cross Country Leagues.
1984 – 13 August club formed as Beaumont Leys Running Club and meeting venue Babbington College with 14 members.
1994 – 10th anniversary with 114 members.
1998 – club moved to Kirby Muxloe Sports club for a brief spell before moving to current base at New Parks Leisure Centre in 1999.
2002 – club changed name to Beaumont Running Club.
2004 – 20th anniversary with over 100 members.
2014 – 30th anniversary with 100 club members and a healthy £5k in the reserves for club development and support.
2016 – club moved to Braunstone Leisure Centre as Winter base.
John Baldwin, original founder member and committee member, is still running.
We welcome you to try us out before you commit yourself to joining Beaumont Running Club. However we run under the following conditions – and these conditions apply to you if you run with us.
