Kudos to everyone from the club who ran the Kibworth 6 on Sunday 27th May, hosted by Fleckney & Kibworth Running Club.
This rescheduled LRRL Winter Series race was cancelled earlier in the year due to dangerous, icy conditions and many participants may have preferred those circumstances to the scorching temperatures eventually experienced!
In addition to the heat, the course is infamous for its challenging hills which cause many a runner to crawl to a walk, but not Philip Chritchlow, who was our first male back and eighth overall. Michelle Brown was the first of our females back on a day which some required some real digging in to get to the finish.
Well done to all and the good news is that it is only a week’s wait to try one’s hand at another 6-mile race at Swithland!
