A big congratulations to two of our resident speed merchants, Tom Lee and Philip Chritchlow, who brought in a one-two finish at Braunstone parkrun #391 on Saturday 5th May 2018.
It is a rare occasion when both turn up on a given Saturday so when it does happen a you can expect both to spur each other on in a close battle (or ‘training run’ as described by Phil).
Today was no exception as they broke well clear of everyone else and while it was extremely close all the way until the end, Tom managed to push through and gain top position this time around with a superb 17:21 ahead of Phil’s 17:25 (a comfortable parkrun PB).
Great performances by both on a lovely day to kick off the post-marathon season!
